Soccer match

Played soccer at St Wilfred's Sports Hall today. There was a match going on at the time we reached there, Orange Vs White. The portion of the match I watch saw the domination of the Oranges on the pitch. I could only see them playing in the White half. Everytime the Orange people managed to penetrate the defences, they lacked the finishing touch. So the White players would send a clearance out far far away, and return possession to Orange.

Kinda like when Portugal played Greece in the finals.

Anyway, on to our match.

Junming jio'ed his friends from the soccer team to come and play with us. Initially felt rather enthusiastic and managed to at least satisfy my own demands. However, as the game went on, I couldn't help but feel abit left out because the two soccer boys from my team were nearly taking on the whole team by their own shoulders. Even so, they still managed to play well, and I did not really feel involved in the play that much. Probably because they didn't know me and thus did not trust me that much.

Felt abit pissed halfway into our match. I had to defend so much but in the end I did not really get to help in the attack. Four of us there were 3 who were form the soccer team, and they played a Triangle formation, leaving me out of the equation. Felt really terrible. At that time I promised myself that in the future I will pass to Gabriel and Daryl more in Kensington. Feels really bad when you run like mad to get him to pass to you and he leaves you out of the play completely.

Despite that, I still managed to enjoy myself quite abit. Managed to make a good run to cut a defender and shoot for goal. Even though Mingde saved it, I still felt good about it.

Can't say the same for the rest of the rym guys (except for Junming and Mingde). Seemed to me that the gap in skill level was to great for them to really enjoy the match. On the whole the rym people(including me) did not really touch the ball as much as the soccer boys did.

Still, good fun.
